Summary of the Pretend Pony

Once upon a time there was a boy named Pee Wee. He wanted a pony very much. He thought about that pony everyday. There was nothing in his mind except that pony. Until in a supper, he let his supper was stone cold when everybody else was finished. His father wondered with his strange behavior. He couldn’t do anything about the pony at all. Until one day Pee Wee’s Jolly Uncle Wally came to visit him. Jolly Uncle Wally tried to figure out Pee Wee’s problem by suggesting him to pretend that he has that pony. He said that if he had pretended a thing hard enough, sometimes it came true. After that Pee Wee tried to pretend hard that he had the pony. His uncle believed that he would get the pony in three days. So that Pee Wee intent to work hard in the three days.

On the first day, he began to work hard to clean out the shed for the pony. Then he nailed down planks and tacked tarred paper on the roof. On the second day, he tried to build the pony stall. He built the wall, a fine feed bin, and a shelf to hold the water pail. After he had finished his work, he always pretended that the pony was grazing in the grass outside. Then Jolly Uncle Wally gave him a broad wink.

What will happen after that? Could Pee Wee get the pony as his dream?  Exactly we will embitter with the ending of this story. I guess it so. Because of this story is very interesting, isn’t it? Beside that this story is very appropriate to be told for the children. There are so many positive moral values that can be transferred for the children to be a good person. It gives moral lesson to the children in order they believe with their dream and always work hard to gain it. Although we just pretend to do it. But we have to believe If we effort hard to do something, exactly we will able to gain it well.

On the third and last day, Pee Wee tried to build a fence. Jolly Uncle Wally also helped him all that morning. Last of all, he filled the pony’s water pail and feed him. Then Pee Wee even pretended that his brown pony wore a golden tan cowboy saddle with a new rope coiled on the pommel. He pretended so hard than ever. Suddenly his parent called him to have supper. Pee Wee was very surprised when his uncle said that the pony had become true. The pony was same as Pee Wee’s imagination when he pretended has a pony. His parent’s eyes grew very round and whispered that they never would believe it. Pee Wee rode up to his uncle and proud of his work along three days to him. Finally he could get the pony as his will.
