EXERCISE 2

1. turn up  means to be appeared or to be found after being lost.
2. lid means a cover of a container that can be removed or opened by lifting it.
3. glance means to look or read something quickly.
4. promptly means do something at the time mentioned or at the correct time.
5. foul means rude word or smelling bad.
6. dew means the small drops of the water that can be found in the leaf at dawn.

EXERCISE 3

1. deserve means appropriate to be given to somebody who has done something difficult or unpleasant as our admiration.

2. stain means leave a mark that is difficult to be removed or washed.

3. strict means force somebody to obey something especially rules of behavior.

4. grab means hold something with our hand suddenly or to seize something.

5. plug means able to be connected or added to a computer system in order that can do more things.

6. bald means having little or no hair on the head.

EXERCISE 4

1. shatter means to make something suddenly break into small pieces.
2. greenhouse means a place for growing plants there that has a glass roof and sides.
3. patch means to cover a hole in the clothes or in the wheel.
4. shallow means a place that having no much distance between the surface and the bottom.
5. gloomily means expression of sadness without any hope or happiness in the face.
6. collapse means fall suddenly after breaking apart, having a big jolt and having a very weight load.

EXERCISE 5

1. zip means something important that we must have it when travel  by a train.
2. zap means a vehicle especially for tourist that available in Oslo and offer us unlimited travel for three days on the local trains and buses.
3. zep means something that can be brought in train station or can be found in the bookstore that have more details and give information about named streets in Paris.
4. zop means a vehicle that is used by people in Tunisia to travel between the smaller cities and towns and the destination is written on a sign on the roof of the vehicle.
5. zup means a kind of popular vehicle in Istanbul that carry four or five people run in the same routes and usually stop only at the main bus stops. They are faster and more comfortable than the buses. beside that they much cheaper than normal taxi.

EXERCISE 6

1. zip means something that has unpleasant smell and attract lots of insects. It give a bad effect that pollute the drinking water. It may place close to our home or in the front of our field.
2. zap means a place that contains of lots of fish in very little water that hasn’t natural situation  that disturb our environment and be the sources of water pollution.
3. zep means a way to handle the garbage problem by recycling it again. The garbage that can be process by this way are glass, paper, metal and plastic after that they bring in to the private companies that will buy and use them again.
